29 May 2005: Beds in Bansko ski resort to double
The bed capacity of Bulgaria's high-altitude resort town of Bansko will double after the construction of several new hotels is completed, it transpired after the official opening of the summer tourist season. The new facilities will have a combined capacity of 10,000 beds. The resort town has 6,000 beds at the moment. A five-star hotel from the Kempinski hotel chain, Grand Arena, is ready to welcome tourists.
