5TH OCTOBER – THE OFFICIAL HOLIDAY OF BANSKO

The official program of the events for the celebration of Bansko’s holiday
October 5, 2006 is the official holiday of one of the best mountain resorts in Bulgaria- Bansko. The municipal has prepared a festive program to mark the day of Bansko. The celebrations will begin from 10.00 o’clock in the morning when wreaths will be placed to the monuments in Bansko. Numerous cultural events will entertain the local people and the guests of the town throughout the day.
Festive retreat will take place in 7.45PM. The celebrations will close with a gradn concert of Nikolina Chakardakova (famous national folklore performer).
The celebrations will continue the next three days October 6, 7 and 8th , 2006 with Bansko Sport fest. Bansko Sport Fest 2006 is a sport celebration for amateurs and proffecionals, organized by Bansko municipal and Kempinski Grand Arena.
Beach volley ball competition will take place from 13th to 15th October, 2006
Football stars from the ex- national football team will participate in the event.
