BOROVETS SPRUCING UP BEFORE SKI SEASON STARTS

A month before the start of the winter season, hotelkeepers and restaurant owners in one of the largest winter resort in Bulgaria, Borovets, are ready to receive tourists. The bumps on Yastrebets 1 ski run have been leveled down and the erosion furrows along Yastrebets 3 ski run have been filled in. Mussalenska Pateka is prepared to be used as an emergency ski run by skiers if the lift stops working.
Within two weeks the leadership of Borosport will fix the prices for lift passes. "The new rates have not been approved yet," said Nedialka Sandalska, head of Balkantourist. The prices will be most probably in accordance with the Tourism Act that was passed in Parliament but has not been published in the State Gazette. Under its amendments Bulgarians and foreign tourists will have to pay the same prices for services.
