Chepelare has always been hidden behind the shadow of the shiny Pamporovo resort. However it definitely has its own unique charm of the live little mountain town with long traditions and heros. Biathlon fans surely remember Ekaterina Dafovska, who positioned Bulgaria on the honored map of world ski sports, becoming #1 on the Winter Olympocs in 1998 in Nagano.

Now Chepelare has a new modern ski lift, taking skiers on top of Mechi chal peak, offering over 5 km long ski slope.

BulgariaSki team visited Chepalare during the weekend to provide with latest information on the skiing conditions in the resort. For all of you who have't decided where to spend the winter holiday, Chepelare is definitely an excellent choice for a budget family holiday.
Skiing at the moment is excellent and meteorologists promise fresh snow until the end of the week.
