Investing in Dobrinishte Resort
Aleksandar Kravarov, mayor of Bansko stated that the procedure of choosing an investor for the development of the ski zone in Dobrinishte will end till the end of June.
More conversations with other companies, willing to invest in the project will follow. Only one of the companies will make a contract with the municipality in order to cooperate to a partnership.
Three companies have already shown interest to become investors so far. The first company is an international investment group, including “Galchev Engineering”, “Feral PK”, and “Building Group Construction”. The other two candidates are “North Investment Inc.” and “Sunset Development”.
Part of the ski area in Dobrinishte is located in the region of National Park “Pirin”. All requirements of the Preserved Territories Law should be taken into consideration when drawing out the project. A change in the management park plan will be possible in three years. The realization of the project can start in 3-4 years in the earliest, the mayor said.
After the construction of the lift near “Bezbog” chalet Dobrinishte became the second most important ski centre in Pirin Mountains. The resort is famous for its therapeutic mineral waters, suitable for medication, balneology and spa procedures. Dobrinishte is also a starting point for Gotce Deltchev and Bezbog chalets, offering good opportunities for mountain tourism, ski sport and alpine disciplines. The longest 5-kilometers ski track in Bulgaria is also located there.
