The New Season Opening in Bansko On December 16 the ski season in Bansko will be officially opened with a grand celebration on the ski slopes. Like last year, the opening of the season will gather some of the world’s most famous skiers. Snowboard World Cup comes to Sofia The International Ski Federation (ISF) paid tribute to the fast-growing Bulgarian snowboarding scene on November 17. At a special meeting, the ISF approved Sofia as host of a Snowboard World Cup round in the 2007-08 season. Sofia is the second stop of the Nokia FIS World Cup Big Air tour.
