Ski Fans Went Wild Riding in Bansko
The off-piste snow conditions in Bansko offered excellent "rideable" terrain for this year's Wild Ride 2006 contest.
The event, traditionally held in Basnko, gives the riders a unique opportunity to access the amazing Pirin Mountain Freeride area.

Sofia Boasts "Good Chances" of Hosting 2014 Winter Olympics
Bulgaria's capital Sofia has really good cghances of hospting the Winter Olympic Games in 2014, Bulgaria's Sports Agency Chief Vessela Lecheva said.
Lecheva commented that seeing the sports base in Turin, where the XX Winter Olympic Games are taking place, Bulgaria will be able to provide such base. In Lecheva's words Sofia offers better premises and conditions.

The fifth competition “Wild ride 2006” in Bansko
The international extreme ski and snowboard competition “Wild Ride 2006” will take place on the ski zone in Bansko. The competition will take place on 16- 19 February on the northern slope of Todorka peak (2 748). The race will include off piste downhill and natural obstacles (rocks). The organizers of the event are “Sport and extreme events” alliance and “ULEN” Joint Stock Company.

Tourists will be able to shoot with Katya's rifle
The “Anschutz” rifle which helped Ekaterina Dafovska to win her gold medal in Nagano will be presented before tourists on the slopes nearby Chepelare on Friday. This is the eight anniversary from the only Bulgarian gold medal from winter Olympic games. All lifts, drug lift, the tea and coffee will be for free. The winners in the ski and biatlon competitions will ride ski doo over Chepelare!
