For the ninth consecutive year Bulgaria’s Bansko winter resort would host an international jazz festival.
The event would take place from August 8 to 13. Musicians from 10 countries would get the chance to perform, avtora.com reported.

Borosport AD, the company managing the skiing facilities in Bulgarian mountain resort Borovets, said it has imported U.S. hydroseeding equipment for the maintenance and recultivation of the resort's ski runs, becoming the first local user of this modern technology for the redevelopment of soil disturbed areas. Bulgaria's capital Sofia is now out of the race for hosting the Winter Olympic Games in 2014 after the International Olympic Committee shortlisted three of the candidates.
Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi, Austria's Salzburg, South Korea's Pyeongchang, - all three cities pointed as favourites were selected by the IOC Executive Board as the Candidate Cities for the XXII Olympic Winter Games in 2014.

Bulgaria's Bansko mountain resort would search for ways to attract tourists year-round, The Independent reported.
Until recently Bansko was the typical ski resort with booming tourism activity in the winter season and almost empty during the summer.
