The local government in Bansko, a ski resort town in the Pirin mountain, has banned construction to prevent its booming tourism industry from the searing effect that overdevelopment has had on the nation's Black Sea resorts.

The start construction works for 40 kilometers ski pistes from Dobrinishte to Bezbog chalet in the Pirin Mountain was announced the mayor of Bansko Alexander Kravarov. The best pilots will gather for the Bulgaria 2006 motor rally, reported BTA news agency on Wednesday.
The 37th edition of the rally, billed as the most prestigious motor event in Bulgaria, will be held in Borovets, 70km south of the capital, from July 7 to 9.
