April 15 was the last day of this past winter’s skiing season in two of Bulgaria’s most famous ski resorts, Pamporovo and Bansko.

Samokov municipality has suspended the construction permits, until further expansion of the infrastructure in the region.
Analogue of the big project “Super Borovets” is under development by the businessman Hristo Kovachky. It will be situated in Mala Tsurkva, Govedartsy and Maljovitsa. General construction plan of the area is now being prepared, and is about to be completed by the end of May.

A project similar to Super Borovets will be the second major development in the region of Borovets mountain resort.
The tourism complex will be set up close to Maliovitsa, 24 Chassa daily reported. The zoning plan is currently drafted and will be finalised by May.
According to plans, the project will feature five tourism zones that will accommodate between 8000 and 10 000 tourists.

Razlog construction intensity catching up with Bansko
The bed capacity in the Razlog/Bansko skiing area will jump to 200,000 over the next 5 years, Razlog mayor Lyuben Tatarski said in a statement based on the number of building permits issue by the two municipalities.

Dnevnik has learned that a Virgin Islands-registered company has bought the Vitosha ski lifts.
Elora Management Limited bought the 2 ski lift operators - Aleko Sport 99 and Vereinigte Bergbahnen Bulgaria, from Austria's Vereinigte Bergbahnen GmbH.
The court register shows that Elora Management Limited is connected to Yulen, the company operating the skiing facilities in the Bansko resort under a concession arrangement.
