The spiritual-historical centre “St. Paisiy of Hilendar” will open its doors in the autumn in Bansko. Sanctification probably will be on 5th October, when is the Day of the resort. Monks from the Monastery of Zograf are also expected, said the mayor Alexander Kravarov.

At the centre of the town is restored the “St. Ivan Rilski” chapel and the monk cell in the Monastery of Hilendar where Paisiy lived. Paisiy, who were born in Bansko, is the first man of the Bulgarian...

Japanese star amazed by the ethno exotic at the foot of the Pirin Mountain

Summer thunderstorm raised the adrenalin of Kamelia Todorova yesterday in Bansko. Under the warm sun beams the famous lady made a prefect rehearsal at the town’s square. Rock Predela

9th August in the Predela site. This year guests of the event will see Epizod, Obraten Efekt, Lavina, Granulom, Eridan and etc.

Rock Predela is one of the oldest rock fests in Bulgaria. Rock Predela took place every summer in July, at the Predela site, Razlog municipal since 1994. In 2005 the festival broke off for luck of sponsors.

A Week of Arts in Bansko

A festival dedicated to arts will be held in Bansko between August 8 and August 13, reports www.avtora.com.
It will include a lot of music and arts, putting jazz and painting "under the same roof".

For the first time, jazz BBQs at noon will be organized with the participation of Angel Zaberski Jr. and Mihail Yosifov. This year's edition of the festival in Bansko pays attention to Bulgarian painting.
