Unique lift in Pamporovo
A brand new unique lift will be officially opened in Pamporovo winter resort in Bulgaria on 6 December. The event will also mark the opening of the new skiing season in Pamporovo.
The new six seat lift is 2992 metres long with a capacity for 2400 people per hour.

Marc Girardelli gave Bansko his trophy from the 1992-93 World Cup

The legendary skier Marc Girardelli gave Bansko his fifth and last Crystal Globe. He made this historical gesture during the TV show Sports Fever, which was broadcast live from Bansko.

"This is my most difficult earned World Cup, said Marc Girardelli. I hope it is an incentive for all Bulgarian skiers. Girardelli won his fifth World Cup in season 1992/93.

Bansko will host events of the men 's world cup in 2011
