Spent a weeks holiday in Momchilovtsi for the first time - what a brilliant place. We stayed in Four Seasons Retreat, it couldn't have been better. We visited the snowboard park just outside the village - it was like having our own ski slopes. Snowboard lessons, skidoo rides, lunch, drinks, and a fantastic day. The villagers, walks, food, views, everything was typical Bulgaria. Definatley be back to Momcilovtsi again next year.

We like Momchilovtsi so much we decided to live here! The attractions for skiers and snowboarders are obvious - all the benefits of the slopes at Pamporovo (and the local snowboard park) without the extra premium for tourists!! Having said this we must admit that our favourite times of year are: spring for the deafening clatter of grasshoppers/summer for the amazing temperatures/autumn for the incredible leaf colours in the trees! The beauty of the Rhodopes and in particular Momchilovtsi has been overlooked for too long.
