INTERNATIONAL FOLKLORE “ORPHEUS’ HOLIDAYS- SMOLYAN

International folklore “Orpheus’ holidays” will start on June 17th (Friday). The official opening of the festival will be at 7.00 PM in the Amphitheater of the new center with a concert of the children folklore ensemble “Orpheus”. On the next day all the participants will process along the main street of Smolyan. A round table for “the magic of Orpheus, the folklore and the young people” will take place in the city hall from 6.00 PM. Applications for the participation in this year’s festival were applied by 2500 participants, 180 were from foreign countries. Usually folklore ensembles, dancing formations, singers groups, groups for national customs, verbal folklore performers, and individual performers are taking place in the festival. This year’s international participants will be from Germany, Greece, Turkey, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Georgia and of coarce Bulgaria.
