ANNUAL ART FESTIVAL “WAY OF ARTS” IN BANSKO

The southern Bulgarian resort town of Bansko will host the annual art festival “Way of Arts” on 9 and 10 September, producing company “Via Art” announced Tuesday.
The two-day festival will include musical performances, culinary shows, water-colour and pottery exhibitions as well as a show of national costumes from Bansko. Initiators of the event are the journalist Milena Dimova and the musician Nasko Stefanov, who organized the festival with the aid of the Bansko municipality and the producing company “Via Art”.
“We want artists in different areas to meet and communicate via the language of art and establish lasting contacts,” the initiators said.
A guest of the festival will be the Jordanian ambassador in Bulgaria Hasan Al Barmavi. The initiators plan for next year to organize a cultural bridge between the Jordanian sea port of Ashuna and Bansko, which will be called “Snow and salt”.
