Ski base in the geographic center of Bulgaria
Over 3800 skiers will be able to take a holiday in the tourism site “Uzana” in a complex with over 2600 beds, together with the already existing 700 beds.
This is noted in the general construction of the resort complex Uzana nearby Gabrovo, approved by an expert council in the municipal. A public discussion of the project is abut to take place and the next step will be its approval by the municipal council. The project foresees to enlarge the already existing base, hotels, huts and campings and the construction of new sport facilities, football playground, tennis courts, new ski pistes, ski roads, a stadium for biathlon, mini golf, two horse bases. Two lifts will make the complex more attractive. The project will enclose 169 hectares and will decide the main communication and infrastructure problems of the complex. Uzana site is in the Shipka- Tryavna part of The Balkan Mountain Range and is a high mountain 1800 meters above the sea level. The geographic center of Bulgaria is situated in the site.
