The New Skiing Season in Bansko

The new skiing season in Bulgaria is about to begin earlier this year. Meteorologists forecast heavy snowfall from November which promises a great ski season from the beginning of December.

This year Bansko mountain resort will surprise its guests with new facilities and 65 km perfectly maintained ski and snowboard slopes. This season all tourists can enjoy unforgettable moments on the cross - country tracks.
Snowboarders will be welcomed on the snowboard half-pipe and the incredible fun park, again on the Platoto site.
Whether you look for the extreme thrill, Bansko again has it all – extreme skiing, Para ski and even Heli Ski, upon preliminary demand and if the weather allows.
Biathlon and snowmobile ride in the mountain will be again available in the resort.
Yet another ice rink will be best way to warm up before you let it go wild at some of the Bansko clubs and discos. The Ice rink is located between the Happy End pub and hotel Strazhite. Working time is 6 pm to 10 pm.

What's New This Year?

Two more great slopes will be available during the new skiing season in Bansko. The slopes Chalin Valig 1 and 2 are 1200 and 1300 m long and are in very close vicinity to the town. A fast and comfortable access to the slopes will be provided through the middle station of the cabin lift. A brand new 4 - man express chair lift was installed on the site of the old drag lifts, and will service the new slopes. The perfect snow cover during the whole season will be guaranteed by a net of cannons for artificial snow.

Bansko ski zone will guarantee perfect snow cover along the ski road, by a net of cannons for artificial snow. Even during the hottest periods of the season, boarders and skiers will enjoy a breathtaking downhill to the Bansko town.

All ski pistes in Bansko ski zone are supplied with cannons for artificial snow and for the first time every single slope will offer perfectly maintained snow cover all season.

If this is not enough, just think of the numerous traditional mehanas with warm fireplaces, never ending party nights and new friends that are waiting for you in Bansko.
