Borovets Ski Resort it's More Sports Spot than a Tourist Centre

Borovets Ski Resort it's More Sports Spot than a Tourist Centre Three are the main factors for the development of a winter resort: runs, terrains and climate conditions, stated the best Bulgarian competitor on ski alpine discipline Peter Popangelov. Indeed the climate was with that importance. Nowadays its importance falls down, while the facilities for making artificial snow are compensating the bad weather conditions. The ski runs are three of a kind: blue, red and black. The blue tracks are for beginners, the red ones are for tourists that already can ski and the black runs and for advanced skiers and for contests' leading. There is unwritten rule that between 50 and 60% of the runs' km of a resort should be red. In Bulgaria's Borovets ski resort this percentage is taken by the black paths. This is not because of somebody's mistake. It leads to the fact that the resort was established and developed as sports centre, not like a tourist spot.
