THE CONSTRUCTION OF PERELIK PROJECT WILL TAKE UP TO SEVEN YEARS

The construction of the tourism centre “Perelik” in Smolyan municipal will take from four to seven years. The first phase of the construction process of the ski equipment will start next year. This became clear on the official presentation of the investment plans of Smolyan municipal, held on 19th June 2008.
The main goal of the Perelik project is to improve the quality of the winter tourism in the Rhodope Mountain and to create opportunities for the development of year round tourism. The investors plan to construct new modern equipment in the resort; this was announced by Mr. Iliya Godev, head of the department “European integration and international cooperation” in Smolyan Municipal.
Godev added that the project plans to preserve the main futures of the landscape in the region. Thus all of the buildings in the project will be constructed in compliance with a special architecture code.
