BulgariaSki team, June 07, 2013

Borovets will host a round of the European alpine ski cup (men giant slalom and slalom) during the period February 15-16, 2014. The decision was taken during a session of FIS in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The starts in Borovets will welcome some of the best skiers in the world. The event will be a general rehearsal for the Olympic in Sochi.

10 European alpine ski cup rounds were hosted in Borovets during the period 1977 to 1989. The first round of the European cup in the resort was held in 1977 when Petar Popangelov won the slalom and giant slalom and grabbed the European cup.
