According to Dora Yankova the tourism investments will help for the development of the business in Smolyan region

The idea of the municipal council is that when the investors use the goods of the mountain in their business, the business will cooperate and it is natural for the municipal to take place in the process., announces Dora Yankova before Radio Focus Smolyan.
On 15nth of April general discussion about the rules, criteria of the investment plan “Perelik” took place in the hall of the municipal with representatives of the business, intelligence and the heads of the major institution in the region.

“The now existing territory plan takes a territory of 2 191 hectares and a huge part of the mountain, the mayor of Smolyan generally described the project”. The investment depends on type and class of the resort, which will be presented by the investors. “Perelik” can become the most modern resort with contemporary slopes and equipment, in other words a higher class resort, said Dora Yankova.

“I wouldn't predict the total cost of the investments. This will become clear from the offers we receive”, she said.

The deadline for the investment plans is 31.05.2006. The mayor considers that period enough for the technical plans and the investment intentions to be summarized. If it turns out that the time is not enough for the investors to offer their plans the dead line will be expanded.
