AKB Fores to invest over 30 million euro in new ski lifts and facilities

The ski tracks on Vitosha Mountain, 15 kilometers away from Sofia center, will rival those at the Alps. This is what a project of AKB Fores Company for the renovation of the ski facilities in the national park Vitosha and the holiday complex Rusalka envisages. AKB Fores is the basic share-holder in the Aleko Sport 99 Company.
"The company was privatized 3 years ago, when the idea for a modern ski park was born," director of Rusalka, Evgenia Gencheva, said.
"After the privatization, all sites at Vitosha were declared unlawful," Gencheva added. The procedure for their legalization lasted for 3 years. Now the company has received the notary acts for the sites and it can start realizing its plans for the development of the ski complex. The improvement plan envisages an entire replacement of the ski lifts and repair of the ski tracks plus installment of new snow-making facilities. The total investment in the project for the whole ski complex will exceed 30 million euro.
