Sent on 15 March 2010I would NOT recommend the hotel prespa to anyone. We had 300 lev (approx 150pound) taken from our room 13A (directly opposite 2 staff rooms.) Had to have the police involved which were of no help and the manager left the room with the police laughing! Friends in room 210 also had belongings taken. Was told the completley wrong price to have some washing done so that cost 59 lev and I was forced to pay this on depature to get my passport back...this being after our money was stolen! Shower had hardly any hot water, fridge didn't work and the food made us sick all week. Do not stay here if you wan to enjoy your holiday! -

Sent on 22 March 2009Just got back from a ski holiday in Pamporovo, staying at the Prespa hotel, we had a great time and were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the food on the Buffet in the hotel. I am Vegetarian and although there was only one veggie option per day it was nice (If you are vegan you should definitely let them know before you arrive) the soups and salads were especially good! The rooms were basic but very clean, good hot shower, sheets and towels were a bit old but also clean. For the price range this place is brilliant, good central location, friendly staff, cool retro games machines and two pool tables in the huge lobby area. The service generally in the resort is quite reserved but very polite, I think this could be mistaken for rudeness by some people as the Bulgarians don't fawn over you constantly like other nationalities, but I found it really refreshing once I got used to it- no pressure to buy when you walk into a shop, no overbearing waiters etc. They seem to have a very relaxed pace of life and everyone is very respectful and friendly to snowboarders and skiers of all abilities on the pistes (quite a unique experience). I would recommend this hotel and resort highly, we will hopefully be going back again soon. -

Sent on 13 January 2008having just returned from Pamporovo I had a great time at the Prespa hotel. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel is situated in the centre and is close to all amenities although after a days skiing there is not a great deal of time to explore the town. The ski school is excellent although the days are long and I found it hard to ski all week shorter hours would have suited myself. My instructor Nick was a very kind and helpful and nothing was too much for him. My family and myself had a fab time and would return there again. It is not as cheap to eat and drink out in Pamporovo I think they are increasing prices for the tourist. -

Sent on 27 February 2007Stayed in this hotel 3rd Feb 2007, room number 314, the first night there was the noise coming from a room next door marked with a sign "Private" having spend a restless nights sleep I mentioned it over breakfast to my traveling companions who also were kept awake most of the night. It was a TV on FULL volume, on the second night at about 1:30am the loud noise started once again, having tried to knock on the door "Private" with no response I had to go down to the reception. The guy at reception told me the room in question was occupied by the owner of the Hotel. The following night the same thing happened again finally at 3:30am I had to once again get out of bed and demand the receptionist to have the BLARING TV turned off or I would be forced to take matters into my own hands. I'm sure I'm not the first or the last person to have had this horrible experience. My travelling companions who were staying in room 223 had no hot water for the entire week, the reception lied about getting it fixed, tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow and instead gave them a basic poorly furnished room on the first floor where they were forced to have their showers. The quality of the food was very poor "COLD" most nights with this they have a duo playing in the dining room that would put you off your food in any case. Over all never going to go back to the Prespa or Pamporovo and certainly wouln't recomend it ot anyone. -

Sent on 24 February 2007We stayed at the prespa at the beginning of february 2007. It was slightly apart from the other hotels in the centre of pamporovo, but only by a few minutes walk. This meant the bar was always nice and quiet, no problem getting a comfortable seat for a little apres ski. The rooms are standard, but very clean, beds comfortable, have all been upgraded in last year or so. The food was ok not spectacular, but not inedible, but so cheap to eat out and there are some really nice restaurants just outside the hotel. If we go back to bulgaria next year would definately book the prespa again. -
