A cabin lift will connect “Kom” chalet with Kom peak Berkovitsa municipal opened a procedure for the contraction of a cabin lift from “Kom” chalet /1620 meters above the sea level/ to Kom peak in the Balkan Mountain Range which is 2020 meters above the sea level, announced the mayor Milcho Dotsov. The lift will provide opportunities for the enlargement of the ski piste which is one kilometer long at the moment. At the moment the drag lift is only working during the weekends. The ski hire in the resort is 12 BGN per day. Berkovitsa municipal will finance the cabin lift with own funds from privatized sites- a balneological center and a huge land plot in Berkovitsa and a mineral bath in the nearby village Barzeya, announced the mayor- Dotsov.
