Bulgaria's ski resort of Bansko will see a new ring road, which will be built over the following year.
Traffic jams that are hellish at the peak of the winter season have brought forth the need for a new road, BNR reported.
Bansko mayor Alexander Kravarov has met with the state Roads agency, and asked for a EUR 2.5 M grant for building the road. The municipality will allocate and additional EUR 450,000 to build a bridge, EUR 120,000...

A rock marathon is about to pound Bulgaria's majestic Rila Mountain, organizers announced ahead of the end-of-week event.
"Rock in Rila" will echo between the steep hills over August 25-26, bringing together Shturtsite, BTR, Signal, Strings, PIF, Konkurent, Gravity Co., Fandango, as well as some less experienced but still talented bands.
