A brand new complex will be constructed under the Kom peak
In May 2008 the “Kom 2016” company starts the construction of a majour sport – tourism complex. The first stage plans the construction of a triple chair lift. The ski slope will be also widened. Additional slopes for beginners will be constructed and the total length of the ski slopes is expected reach 2000m.

Snow Party under Kom Peak
The ski slope Gorna Koriya is situated just 500 metres under the Kom peak in the Balkan mountain range. The perfectly maintained slope is serviced by a drug lift. The mountain this year surprises skiers with over 100 cm snow cover.
The official start of the new skiing season was marked just a few days ago and the slopes are already filled with the clamour of enthusiastic skiers. Music and salutes echoed in the mountain.

100 Million Watch Sofia's Snowboard World Cup
Fans beg Sofia Mayor Boyko Borissov for more snowboard events in the city.
Over 100 million viewers watched the third event of the Big Air Snowboard World Cup, which was carried out in the center of Sofia the night before. Bulgaria Braces for Foggy Christmas, Snowy New Year's Day
Bulgarians will see thick fog during their Christmas holiday and are to enjoy a snow blanket to cover the ground in the first days of the New Year, according to the forecasts.
Mountain holiday-makers will be able to walk and ski in sunny weather with temperatures set at between 2C and 7C.
A cold spell is to be felt across the country on December 26 and 27 due to strong winds.
