Part of the loading platform for the Snowboard FIS World Cup Big Air Sofia 2007 was discharged yesterday on “Kniaz Aleksander I Batenberg” Square in Sofia. Snowboard World Cup Big Air is the most important snowboard contest in Bulgaria and Sofia host such an event for the first time.
The unique facility is 31 m high, 25 m wide and 100 m long and it was transported from Switzerland. It will be mounted till the 19th of December....

An unforgettable experience starts in December, the month of the never ending winter holidays. On the 15th of December a constellation of ski and snowboard masters will open the ski season 2007/08 in Bansko. The forthcoming snow fall also will contribute to the perfect atmosphere.

The owner of C bank – Mrs. Tsvetelina Borislavova will unite the mayors of the municipal centres Sapareva Banya, Bansko, Dupnitsa and Rila together with investors in the new Bulgarian association for stable development of the mountains. The first meeting will take place today in Sofia.

Bulgarian Land Development (BLD), listed on the London Stock Exchange's AIM market, said it will invest 27 mln euro in a resort complex in Borovets, Bulgaria's oldest and most famous winter vacation destination which lies 80 km south of Sofia.

Sofia's Privatization Agency sold Wednesday the ski facilities in Vitosha mountain to a private company for the sum of BGN 8,3 M.
The ski tows and lifts became private property after municipal company "Rope Ways" has been bought by "Vitosha Ski".
The new owner is now obliged to maintain the facilities for 25 years, investing at least BGN 500,000 in the first 12 months.
