The ski federation wants to build a ski jump complex on Vitosha mountain The Bulgarian ski federation announced the idea for the construction of a huge ski jump complex in Sofia. According to preliminary estimations the complex would cost between 10 and 15 million Euro. The coordinator of the continental group for FIS - Horst Tilman, who is managing the construction of the ski jumps worldwide commented that Sofia is the prefect site, which will allow the town to welcome the starts of the summer and winter World cup. We have already constructed a similar complex in Amati, two more are being built in Turkey and Romania, added Tilman. The head of the ski federation Tseko Minev commented, that the suitable site will be chosen in cooperation with the chief architect of Sofia, after all the paperwork is done. Minev is also connected with the project for renovation of the ski zone at “Aleko” with the company “Vitosha Ski”.
