The weather in the mountains is good for tourism

The weather in Bulgaria is good for tourism in the mountains, except for the high parts where there are snow-drifts as a result of the strong wing over the past days, announced the Mountain Rescue Service with the Bulgarian Red Cross.
In some places the paths are slippery with ice and there is a risk of slipping and injuries. Snow-drifts have formed along the steep slopes and there is serious risk of avalanches. 
Almost all sports facilities at the winter resorts are operating, except for the lifts in the highest parts of Bansko and Vitosha, where there are some technical troubles due to the strong wind.
Temperatures in the high parts of the mountains vary between -7°C and -8°, while in the lower parts – around 0°C.
