There is No Danger of Avalanches on Ski Tracks in Bansko
“The ski tracks in Bansko mountain resort are processed and all lifts are in operation. There is no danger of avalanches”, the Mountain Rescue Service announced for “FOCUS Radio – Pirin. They asked the guests of the resort not to go gar away from the marked zones because there was real danger for avalanches out from the tracks.
The weather is cloudy and the temperatures are in the interval between –7 to –11 degrees C.

Bansko hosts European Ski Championship Round
On January 29 and 30 Bansko winter resort will host a round of the women's Alpine skiing European Cup.
Out of the top 70 competitors in the international rank list, 20 would take part in the Bansko round of the competition, BGNES Sport agency reported.

Unique Ice rink to open in Bansko
The world skating champions, Bulgaria's golden couple Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski will open the first of its size 1000 sq. m. ice-skating rink, which is due to be opened by the end of this month. Its excellent ski runs determine the resort as a host of the European Women's Championship in Alpine Skiing and European Biathlon Championship.

Bulgaria's Cheplare resort invests in tourism opportunities
More than 400 000 leva have been invested in Chepelare mountain resort before the start of winter season 2006/2007, local hospitality union representatives said.
Funds were mainly invested in the construction of new hotels and ski infrastructure at Mechi Chal winter sports centre, Focus news agency reported.
