Heavy snow is now falling over Bansko. Everything is covered with white and fluffy snow.
The ski equipment in the resort will start operating on 1 December, although the official opening of the season will take place on 17th December.

This winter Bansko will be extremely shiny and polished. Construction workers are working 24 hours seven days a week to complete the buildings before the start of the new season. Everyone is preparing for the new season.

BulgariaSki checked out what is going on in Bansko few days before the official opening of the winter season!
The manager of “Ulen” Joint Stock Company Ivan Obreykov explained how the pistes are being prepared for Winter 2005- 2006.
This season the pistes in Bansko are being renewed. The concessionary Ulen has sown grass on the slopes to prevent the pistes from erosion. New drain channels were constructed to divert the water from the pistes. Protective nets were placed on the slopes...
