What can you say about a great eating den thats so cheap! The food was excellent and all of us had eyes bigger than our bellies. Try the mixed grill. I've never had so much on one plate, lamb chop, rump steak, pork steak, 2 types of sausages, 2 chicken kebabs, burger, chips, rice, side salad, eggs, and mixed veg. There was four of us and we all had a 3 course meal plus plenty of drinks and all we paid was Ј35. I felt quilty using the 5% discount vouchers offered here. Thanks Stephanie for some great meals and company. Hope to see you again soon P.S. Good luck in Cyprus !!

Having read previous comments we decided to visit ourselves. Was extremely impressed with the standard of service and quality of meals. Ate there numerous lunches as food was very cheap and always cooked to perfection! Stephanie is a lovely lady and is always up for a laugh! Returned on our last night at 1:30am and caught the family meal! Many thanks to all of the staff and hope to see u all next year!

We had some brilliant meals in Hungry Horse last week. jacket potatoes and toasties, just what we needed because we didn't ever make it up in time for breakfast at the Rila. Valentin, the manager is a lovely guy and really funny. Go here, you will enjoy.

We had the best meals of our trip at the hungry horse. The chef made us some bulgarian specials and they were some of the best food I have had in a very long time. \have a talk with the chef about your tastes, take their suggestions for bulgarian dishes and you won't be dissappointed. Great atmosphere and super service This place is a must!!!

From the menu we just couldn't make up our minds - proper English food that didn't come with chips! The Chicken & Mushroom Pie with mash potato was amazing!! The service was wonderful and it was such a nice place to eat after a hard days ski-ing.

Having just spent a fantastic week in borovets I must recomend "THE HUNGRY HORSE". By pure chance we found this great place (it`s next to the Black Cat). We initally went in because on the board outside it advertised jacket potatoes, which are one if the few things our daughter actually eats!!. We never looked back, the food was lovely, and just as importantly Nick and his wife were very freindly and helpful they couldn`t do enough to help. The menu was varied and well explained, the portions were just right, not too much that quality is comprimised, but plenties enough to fill you up, ready for another day on the piste. They have a breakfast menu, a children`s menu, a cocktail menu (both adults and childrens) and a very extensive main menu. We ate in afew other places but by far THE HUNGRY HORSE was simply the best!!!!!. We had a brilliant New Years Eve in there and may i take this chance to say thanks for a great time. One other thing which seems to be very important when eating out in Bulgaria the food is actually HOT!!! and cooked properly, Try the others but once you`ve tried The Horse you`ll eat there for the rest of your holiday.
