Sent on 22 February 2011Certainly not First class service as advertised. Staff were generally rude and unhelpful, especially in the restaurant. Food was terrible. Buffet style and usually under cooked. No hairdryer as advertised on here. Had to collect from reception and return after use. Not always guaranteed the use of one. Rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Bathroom fine too. With some customer service training and a new chef this hotel could be great, sadly it's pretty poor. Wouldn't return or recommend.

Using Bulgariaski.Com was easy and I would happily recommend and use it again
Booking for the hotel, transfers and ski equipment and school was all really easy. The transfer guys were great. Hotel was nice, food was good, pool area nice and quiet and the room was fine just needed more storage. Ski school was great. Would definitely recommend using Bulgaria ski and would book again myself.
Only saw Diane once to pick up the Vouchers which goes to say how well everything was organised.
The hotel was ok until the tap in the bathroom broke, flooded the room and ruined some of my daughters possessions.
She was moved to another smaller room but no compensation was offered for the upheaval.
Apart from this hotel is good 4*
Reception staff quite rude.. rest of the staff; waiters & housekeeping incredibly hospitable and helpful. Also, paid for movies that did not work. Would return to Borovets and use BulgeriaSki, however, would not stay at Festa Winter Hotel again.
The Hotel needs some extra maintenance, like the bathroom (nbr 41)!
1. The boot room is NOT a boot room but a cupboard with a rack for less than 20 skis, it is only locked at night after 10 pm.
A hotel of this quality should provide lockable lockers and a lockable ski rack plus it should be heated as otherwise it has a nasty damp smell which was the case at The Fiesta Winter Palace.
Ski equipment can be very expensive and needs to be secure.
The lack of a boot room would deter me from rebooking and recommending. We had to carry all our boots etc and my sons v expensive skis to our room. Also there were signs of damage to wallpaper and furniture probably caused by skis and boards in rooms which is such a shame as the hotel is very beautiful.
2. Very poor show charging 7 lev a day to use the room safe. Far better to charge a little more for the room and make inclusive.
3. Worse we were charged 20 lev for a snapped room card. It was an obvious accident and possibly a weak card who knows. A lost card I would accept being charged for.
Due to the latter in particular we did not eat in the hotel restaurant as the experience left, to coin a phrase, a bad taste. We would have dined perhaps twice as we like to support the hotel we stay in. Ditto we would have made more use of the hotel bar.
Very good location
poor breakfast, no ski room available , no hairdryer in the room, no slippers.
It's shame because the hotel is very beautiful, very close to the lifts and the center of the resort.
