Bansko ski resort in Bulgaria opened the new ski season 2012-2013 today 15th of Dec 2012. The ski resort boasts with an excellent snow cover and the ski slopes are perfectly maintained. 

Hermann Maier was among the official guests of the event. The 40-year-old Austrian came specifically for the event. Hermann Maier has two Olympic titles at the games in Nagano in 1998 as well as silver and bronze medals. During his career he has won for four times the big crystal globe as the overall winner of the World Cup. He is a three-time champion of the world.

The five-time World Cup winner Marc Ghirardelli and Bulgarian № 1 for all time Peter Popangelov-junior also attened the event.
