The cleaning service ...
sent on 5.0/5
The cleaning service was not very regular ... on 2-3 occasions, we had to call late afternoon to have our room cleaned (after we had been out for the day). The balcony/ashtray was not emptied/cleaned from the balcony. Tea/Coffee facilities in the room would have been great. Great storage, comfortable beds, duvets etc. Overall a great stay just some suggestions for improvement as mentioned above.

We stayed July 16th but there was no snow. It was even too hot for snow! How can we ski if you have no snow?

Simply the best hotel in Bansko. Worth the extra expense. You can ski down the mountain almost into the ski room. The swimming pool-relaxation areas are incredibly good. I recommend this hotel....You will not be disappointed.

Stayed here for one week from 19/1/08 with my husband and five year old daughter. Hotel was great and staff very friendly (especially the guy in the ski room). Food was great and service good.Out door pool lovely and warm and complimentary robes, slippers and towels really came in useful for this. Room very clean and a good size. Would revisit this hotel.

The best hotel I have stayed in.Location is excellent, views are spectacular, the food is fabulous. It was heavenly to eat breakfast--and what a breakfast--whilst watching the cable cars whizz by the window. The staff were polite and ever helpful.Decor was interesting and different.I would certainly stay there again.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at this hotel- faultless. Transferred from the so called 4 star hotel Perun , which was comparable to Fawlty Towers. The Kempinski is the best for service, pampering and luxury. Hope to return with more family members.

My wife and I stayed at the Kempinski in January 2007. The previous year we stayed at the Perun, which was excellent, but decided to go upmarket to the Kempinski after having a look round at the facilities. We had only two complaints. But first the good things. It is a suoerb hotel. It is in the best location for ski-ing and access to the gondola for even if you just want to go walking in the summer. The standard of the bedrooms and public areas was excellent. The wellness area was out of this world. The smells, atmosphere and ambience was unbelievable. So much so that we used it every day and each had two massages. There were a number of options. The food was generally excellent with a good selection. We were on half board and our main complaint was about the food. Not all of it just the main course at dinner. All the rest was excellent. The starters and afters were good but as it was a buffet the main courses were left under the hot lamps for too long. Too much food was prepared for too few people and as a consequence it was left unused for hours and hours. It became dried up and very unappetising. After a couple of nights we started going to the Come Prima, the alternative restaurant, where we were given an allowance towards the cost. We have been to Bulgaria many times and you do not go for the food. However if the Kempinski wants to be a five star hotel it needs to sort this out. Even before we left we understood that they had started to get things under control. We had a magnificant stay and would recommend it to everyone. We were particularly lucky with the snow and the weather. As you may remember there was quite a shortage of snow in January 2007 but they have 75 snow cannon in the resort and they managed to keep almost all the runs open. Not only that it was sunny everyday. We would recommend this hotel. Norman and Frances Felton Our only other complaint was that we paid for a mountain view and were given a city view.

Simply the best hotel in the Resort of Bansko. I wouls recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff are so friendly, the food is fantastic, and the slopes minutes away. The fact that you can store your ski's and boots in the hotel means you can get on the slopes earlier then most too, if you rent your ski's etc, you have to wait until the rental shop opens at 9am, but if you store them in the hotel you can beat the gondola queues and get up there as early as you like. The Kempinski is a must for an enjoyable stay in Bansko.

We stayed at the hotel last MARCH, 2006.IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN. The service was excellent, we loved the guys in the boot room putting our boots on for us! Everything about this hotel is perfect, the food, rooms, surroundsings. It was so easy to ski down the mountain and straight to the hotel door, boots off and into the Happy End Apres ski bar. We are staying again this year, in March 2007.
