We have been going out there for four years and we were pleased to find no queue at all during the week at the gondola. And managed to beat the queue's at the weekends by going at 8.15am. Whilst there we found the most fantastic restaurant. Sireshtovata kashta, a 400 year old building hidden away down yane Sandanski street near the old church. Hot food and plenty of it, say Neil sent you! Look for the lantern's on the wall. |

From Liz from Scotland, sent on 02 February 2010 Bansko has great snow altho queues are awful in the morning to get the cablecar up the mountain. However it is a holiday this week for Greece, Slovakia, and Macedonia. 5000 more people here than usual !!!!! The Lion hotel is very good. We will go to the cablecar tomorrow at 8.30 and no later. |
